In the National Capitol Region

While I was working in the Washington, DC region, I was a dual member with a Chapter from the Maryland Society. I was also able to have a rare reunion with my three sisters who are DAR members when they attended their National meeting. One of my sisters won a national DAR prize for a painting she submitted and another came close to winning another award with a smocked dress she had submitted.

William Lypert Grave Marking 27 July 2013

On the 27th of July 2013 the French Lick Company CG supported the grave marking of War of 1812 veteran William Lypert in Lebanon, TN. It was also my return to the area and being able to participate in Chapter events.

Kelton Cemetery 18 May 2013

David did an enormous and outstanding job cleaning up and dedicating a cemetery of one of his American Revolution Patriot ancestors.
"The Kelton Cemetery at Black Fox Spring .. c1813 Celebration and Grave Marking for Revolutionary War Patriot William Kelto was a Huge Success. The TNSSAR Color Guard French Lick Company presented the Colors. The event was hosted by our President Chuck Abrahamzon and the Invocation was by Winfred Vaughn and Pledge of Allegiance by Glen Freudenthal . We had Greeting's by State President Colin Wakefield, Glenn Taylor, President Stone River Chapter. Felicia Hix, 1st Vice Regent, Hardee Murfee Chapter DAR and Bettye Freudenthal, Jethro Sumner Chapter DAR."

Nashville Cemetery Run 27 May 2013

On 27 May, David and Frank helped form the CG supporting the run to raise money for the Nashville Cemetery.
